Today Maisie's class celebrated Easter so I did a bit of an Easter themed bento with a bunny shaped grilled cheese on wheat sandwich, carrot sticks, broccoli, lite ranch dip in the Hello Kitty container and even a double helping of treats with a gummy bunny and chick.
One piece of broccoli, a carrot stick and about two bites of her sandwich returned home uneaten but overall she ate well.
And just because she's adorable, here's my little over excited bunny at her class party eating one of the bunny cookies that we made for the party.

The bento is just perfect for Easter! Your daughter looks darling in her bunny ears!
Happy Easter to you and your family.
If I blogged, I'd have to call mine "Katherine eats Bento!" We started for the same reasons you did, and it's amazing how much more variety she'll eat at lunch now. (She's a pretty good eater, but for lunch, she always wanted pb&j - which is fine, but not 4 days a week!)
We started aboutu a month ago, and I'm still having some problems gauging just how much food to pack (she's 4 but big) and exactly what she'll eat. It's just trial and error, I guess - but you've got some great ideas to share with us!
i thought the cartoonish design was a happy tree friends character...

I just happened to surf onto your blog and I just love it! I have a super picky 4 year old and I have to wonder if Bento lunch would help her. You've given me some great ideas. I think I will get a box or two and try packing her some special surprise bento lunches to eat at home, and see how she likes it. Thank you! I'll be back.
