Bento #181

Imitation crab meat, steamed broccoli, grapes, strawberry jelly and lite ranch dip in the Hello Kitty container.

Maisie adores imitation crab meat so this was a good bento for her and me as she ate every last drop.

Bento #180

Broccoli, pineapple jelly, cream cheese on wheat Marie sandwich, grapes and lite ranch dip in the Hello Kitty container.

Maisie has needed a lit more fruit and veg in her diet so, I've been giving her very small sandwiches and lots the needed fiber. Thankfully she's enjoying this combination and today's bento box came home empty.

Maisie wanted a sandwich again so white chocolate peanut butter on wheat heart sandwiches with fairy sprinkles, grapes, carrot sticks and lite ranch dip in the Hello Kitty container.

Maisie wasn't happy that I didn't include a jelly in today's bento but she enjoyed what was there, finishing everything that I included.

Maisie loved this bento and her "white rectangle cheese" as she call the brie. She finished all but one lonely cashew.

Bento #174

Peanut butter on wheat heart sandwiches with fairy sprinkles, strawberry jelly, grapes & raisins.

Today we met friends at a jumping place and Maisie was a bit too distracted to really concentrate on eating her bento but she did well, finishing all but one of the heart sandwiches.

Bento #170

White chocolate peanut butter on wheat heart sandwiches with fairy sprinkles, roasted broccoli, raisins & pineapple jelly.

I'm really not in a bento rut again it's just that Maisie is asking for certain items in her bento and I'm just trying to give her what she requests and make it cute. She loves helping to cut out her sandwiches and sprinkle on the fairy sprinkles. I've also found that when she requests certain items and I give them to her, she eats more so that's a good thing. Today's bento came home empty and she said that she loved it all but that I forgot to put in dip...oops!

Bento #169

Maisie again requested a peanut butter sandwich so this morning we made dolphins and a heart on wheat bread with the obligatory fairy sprinkles, roasted broccoli, raisins, orange jelly and lite ranch dip in the Hello Kitty container.

Maisie has really been enjoying roasted broccoli and actually requested that I put some, along with dip in her bento. Half of one dolphin sandwich came home uneaten,

Bento #167

Grilled chicken nuggets, parsnip "fries", roasted broccoli, roasted cauliflower & lite ranch dip in the Hello Kitty container.

It's a new year and hopefully a new start to my bento packing. Maisie enjoyed all the veggies but only ate about 1/3 of the chicken but that's par for the course, avoiding the protein.

Bento #166

This bento sort of sums up my bento making rut. Mini quiche, string cheese and the ever present grapes and jelly. I need to go shopping, some inspiration and maybe just a break from photographing pretty boring bentos.

Maisie ate three of the quiches and most of the string cheese but finished all the grapes and jelly.

Bento #165

String cheese wrapped in ham, grapes & jelly.

Obviously I'm in a rut with food and ideas but Maisie thankfully enjoyed her bento and ate everything.

Bento #164

BBQ meatballs on udon & apple wedges.

This was a hit and Maisie ate every bite.

I know it's looking familiar here, time to do some shopping.

Mini quiche, grapes and jelly.

One quiche returned home uneaten and ended up in the bin as Maisie wasn't interested in eating it after her nap.

Mini quiche, grapes and jelly.

Always a favorite with Maisie and she ate it all.

Bento #159

Lo mein, grapes and mango jelly.

A small amount of lo mein and a couple of grapes returned home uneaten. Maisie said that she was too full to finish everything and really for the rest of today she didn't eat all that much. Some days Maisie is like a bottomless pit and other days she eats very little. I'm thinking that she's going through a growth spurt or something, we shall see.

No bentos for the next week as we're off for a week long western Caribbean cruise, woohoo! Hopefully when we return I'll be better about posting in a more timely manner.

Bento #158

Grilled cheese on wheat, grapes & banana jelly.

Maisie just adores grilled cheese sandwiches and if I let her, she'd eat them breakfast, lunch and dinner so I knew this bento would be a success. Sure enough, only a one-inch piece of crust returned home uneaten.

Bento #157

Leftover lo mein, grapes, fortune cookie and jelly.

Only the paper fortune remained in Maisie's box after lunch.
