Bento #102

Mini quiche, raisins, red delicious apple with fairy sprinkles. Animal crackers for snack.

Maisie finished every bit of this bento and that was in fact the first thing she told me when I picked her up this afternoon.

Why bento?

Maisie used to be an extremely picky eater and three to five days a week I had to pack a lunch for her to take to camp or school. Because she was so picky, I starting packing bentos in an attempt to make her lunches more interesting, appetizing and hopefully more appealing while providing food that was healthy for her along with being something she wanted to and would eat. She's now a much better and far less picky eater but she loves her bentos and they make her feel special and loved so I continue to make them for her.
